Tablets of Sumer is a quiet, scholarly reading room. The rules below keep it that way for everyone.

You're welcome to

• Read, listen to, and share individual tablet pages.
• Cite our translations in your own writing, with a link back and credit to the underlying scholarly edition.
• Use the app in a classroom, reading group, or study session.
• Save tablets for personal offline reading.

Please don't

• Scrape the site at scale or build a derivative archive without permission.
• Redistribute the premium audio narrations as your own content.
• Attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use the app to harass others, post unlawful content, or impersonate someone (when public features later exist).
• Resell access to the app or share paid entitlements across multiple people.
• Use automated tools to create accounts or generate traffic.

Consequences

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where the conduct is illegal, we may report it to the relevant authorities.
